Philippines Foreign Service Institute

The Philippines Foreign Service Institute (FSI) is the leading institution for the Philippines Foreign Service Training and other professional needs.

It is located in Roxas Boulevard in Metro Manila.

India’s FSI was established in 1976 by the Government of Philippines under the Presidential Decree 1060. It was further reinforced by the Foreign Service Act of 1991 ensuring its revitalization and expansion.

The Philippines FSI primarily caters for the training and research needs for its Foreign Service and External Affairs in the following areas;

  • research
  • information;
  • publication
  • system development; and
  • other programs.

The institute has also diversified its activities to include other courses of interest for its foreign diplomats and its civil servants.

It has a Center of International Relations and Strategic Studies (CIRSS) as well as the Carlos P. Romulo School of Diplomacy. The two institutions facilitate training programs and also, offer courses in International Relations.
